The Zip plywood panels have an integral vapor barrier and are installed with Zip tape at all the seems. This is a great system to stop air infiltration which is a big cause of energy consumption. We take it one step further. We require our tradesmen to nail everything on the studs. This technique is more time consuming for vinyl installers but it ensures that the wall cavity is not compromised with thousands of nails. These penetrations would cause air infiltration and wasted energy. We pay attention to these small but very important details.
